you’re probably joking and this isn’t directed at you in particular but it bothers me a hell of a lot when nerds get so fucking smug about not liking sports like it makes them a better person for not doing so

sorry for enjoying a thing that, shockingly, a lot of people happen to like! i take a lot of joy in rooting for my team and i really enjoy the social aspect of sports and football in particular (and it saddens me that none of my friends at school like sports at all because i miss out on that part now). i like competition and football is just fun as hell and people like it for a reason.

and you have people on the internet who act like they’re so much better for not caring?? like alright, congrats? good for you for being so counter to popular american culture i guess, i will continue enjoying my hobbies and you can go be insufferably smug elsewhere.

This is a silly image macro, it is not lording over anyone, you must be reading pretty far into the lines to see it as such.

Hell! Someone could make one saying, “This is me, not giving a shit about the DC Reboot”, and I’d be okay with it, Iknow not everyone likes comics, or DC for that matter, that doesn’t change it from being something I like.  Excuse me in saying, but it really feels like you’re trying very hard to take offense, no one is attacking you, it’s all in good fun.
